Civic education and Community dialogue 14 Haji Payk village Shakar Dara

The program has been conducted for 30 female participant hosted by DSAWCO in Haji Payk village mosque of Shakar Dara district. In the first session we have provided presentation about the history, democracy, and legislation procedure in Afghanistan. Participants showed interest in democracy.  Participants have shared their feedback and views as coming as bullet points in the below:

  • Democracy is a good system if correctly implemented
  • Parliament should prioritize the public problems and solve them,

In the second session, we have discussed about the human rights, election, parliament and judiciary system. Participants were very delighted about the performance of civil society in terms of its advocacy activities.

In the second day, we had social dialogue to recognize the social problems of the villagers: we have recognized 8 major problems as following:

  • Lack of proper roads and streets,
  • Lack of religious madrasah,
  • Lack of teachers in village schools
  • Lack of electricity,
  • Lakc of Female Fatiha Saloon,
  • Lack of occupational training centers (Tailoring and Handicrafts)
  • Lack of clinics
  • Unemployment
  • Lack of kindergarten

Lack of clinic has been selected as the big problem in the village.

In the end, we have made an advocacy group of two people to follow up the issue with the ministry of public health.
