30 female including government officials and local residents have participated in our program in Zargar village. In the first session we have provided information about the history, democracy, and legislation procedure in Afghanistan. Participants have discussed about the advantages of democracy. They all showed interest to democracy as their favorite political system.
In the second session we have discussed about the topics such as human rights, women rights, civil society, election process and judiciary system. In the end, most of the participants presented a basic definition of the above topics.
In the second day, we had a social dialogue about the social community problems. The major problems are listed below:
Based on the nature of their problems, we have summarized it into three main community problems:
Women unemployment has been recognized as major problem in the village.
Participants have criticized the ministry of public works for their underperformance about creating jobs for women. Finally, we have formed an advocacy group to follow up the major problems of the villagers.
