Civic education and Community dialogue 5

Based on the chapter provided by Counterpart International, nine Subjects have been discussed as below at Qala e Bahadur khan:
1- Brief History of Afghanistan, 2- Democracy, 3- Legislative power 4- Executive power 5- Judiciary power 6- Counter Trafficking in person, 7-Human Rights 8-Election, 9-Civic Society.
Mostly the people of this area discussed about Elections and had questions in this regard, for example people have participated in elections specially in last parliament election and voted and selected their representatives in parliament but none of them worked for the people and they have added that in future and upcoming elections we have to select and vote for any candidate carefully, because it is the people who select their representatives.

The Community Dialogue which is held at Qala e Bahadur khan, District 6th of Kabul Province, Public problem has been discussed and their main problems has been specified as below:
– environment problems
– security problem in other villages near this district
– lack of health clinic
– lack of Entertainment venues for children
– Poverty and unemployment.
Their most important problem is Environmental problem.
The raised issues by attendees were discussed and reasonable answers were given. Some problems are noted by government representative. An advocacy committee was established to follow up the promises given by government authorizes.

Advocacy group will arrange. Meeting with responsible section of Municipality to talk about this area problem and share the decisions with CPI.
