The programs of Meetings for formation of Advocacy groups from Paghman-Shakardara-Kabul

Advocacy group 1

Based on ACEP project’s working plan, DAWSCO held an advocacy meeting program in Paghman district in August-03-2017. 8 people of 5 villages, who are member of advocacy group of the district, have participated in the meeting.

Firstly, the team has explained the aim of forming the advocacy group, and participants have discussed about basic problems of the district which were recognized in the previous social dialogue. They have sorted out two main problems out of five. According to them lack of vicinity for the zargar valley and lack of dustbins are the main problems of the district. They have recommended solutions for solving the issues. In order to collect the dusts from the streets they are going to meet education and municipality manager, and district governor of the district. They will conduct a fund raising campaign to collect money from residents, NGOs and government for buying the dustbins, and put them in required places. They are going to meet the top management of Azad NGO which is a social welfare NGO to fund the vicinity building construction. Mir Bahauddin, one of the advocacy group members and the head of development council of the district was elected as representative of the group to plan and arrange the meetings.

  

Advocacy group 2

Based on ACEP project’s working plan, DAWSCO held an advocacy meeting program in Shakar dara district in August 07/08/2017 people of 5 villages, who are member of advocacy group of the district, have participated in the meeting.

Firstly, the team has explained the aim of forming the advocacy group, and participants have discussed about basic problems of the district which were recognized in the previous social dialogue. They have sorted out two main problems out of five. According to them lack of vicinity for the zargar valley and lack of dustbins are the main problems of the district. Advocacy group 3

Based on ACEP project’s working plan, DAWSCO held an advocacy meeting program in KABUL district in August-14-2017 With 6 people of district of Kabul City, who are member of advocacy group of this district, have participated in the meeting..

Firstly, the team has explained the aim of forming the advocacy group, and participants have discussed about basic problems of the district which were recognized in the previous Community dialogue. They have sorted out three main problems out of five.

Three basic problems are:

  • Lack of expert teachers: they will prepare a list of school with this challenge and conduct meeting with Plan director in MOE
  • Increasing garbage in mentioned districts: they will conduct coordination meeting with municipality director to solve this problem and find better solution.
  • Sexual harassments for female in 6 and 13 districts: they will arrange meetings with police officers in districts 6 and 13 and share this problem with them to more attention and find solution.
